Children's Choice Daycare provides the love and care that my kids deserve, and gives us parents the peace of mind knowing that while we are away from them that they are being loved, that they are safe and secure and are learning to interact with other children of the same age group which is so important. Children's Choice Daycare has more than met my expectations in these areas and I feel very fortunate to have my children there. I cannot thank the Children's Choice staff enough for the love and care they have provided not only for my sons but for all the children they care for.

Our son was lucky enough to participate in Children's Choice Junior and Senior Kindergarten program and it has been an amazing experience! Every day it was evident how committed and dedicated the teachers were to providing not only an educational experience but to enhancing social skills. The teachers were sure to provide feedback throughout his two years, raising concerns when extra supports could be beneficial and listened to any and all concerns that I presented no matter how small! It has been amazing to watch my son grow and see the positive influences from his classroom being used in other areas of his life. The hardest part of this experience will be saying goodbye and I only wish this school went up to grade 5......so he could stay there for longer!

My wife and I are very impressed with our child's progress in her reading and spelling skills. She enjoys the book buddy program that allows her to read and recognize words on her own. As well she says one of the best things she's learned since entering JK is her ability to count to 100!

My daughter started at Children's Choice when she was just 2 years old ... little did I know that this was the best decision that I have probably ever made. She will be 6 in a couple of months and my husband and I are dreading the day that we have to take her to a new school. You already know the staff is amazing ... but their curriculum is also top notch. I work in the field of education and most of you may not know that the kindergarten program is very different from what you may remember. At "big school" there is very little focus on reading and writing incorporated phonics and printing into their day .. which is amazing. Children's Choice also provides an environment where the kids are able to thrive. They are currently learning how to sound out words and work on their journals daily. The other day she came home to tell me about Inuksuk's!!! I know that it also comes down to cost for most parents and if you haven't looked into before and after care, the cost is comparable to a full day at Children's Choice including meals!! Last June I had already registered my daughter for school and she had a spot in the before and after school program, after graduation I had a change of heart, I saw her with her peers and the kindness and genuine care the teachers showered her and decided to keep her at Children's Choice and she loves going there every day. I would keep her there forever if I could, but sadly this is our last year, so if you are wondering about the program please take it from me ... it is phenomenal. ~ Anonymous
To the entire staff at Children's Choice Daycare Thank you!! You are rated 5 stars because you deserve it!! Thank you for the home away from home the love and care you provided both my girls!! I would recommend any family to you always!! Xo

The day we heard that the Kindergarten Program was going to close, was a sad one for me and my husband. We just could not believe it. The program and the school have been such an important part of her life ... and ours. We wanted to provide a few words to describe what the program has meant to our family.
Registering our daughter for Kindergarten at Children's Choice (versus a public school) was one of the best decisions we ever made. Some of the reasons for our decision to keep her with the school post-daycare were: the school's amazing teachers, quality educational program (like jolly phonics), great amenities, positive energy, innovative teachings (such as the yoga sessions), seasonal special events, healthy food choices, various field trips and overall sense of family. Seeing her grow and learn new skills within the program has brought so much pride for us. We feel she is ready to conquer Grade 1 at public school and beyond, all thanks to Children's Choice. We wanted to thank you for the positive impact you and the teachers have had on our children and the wonderful memories you have created for our family. Our child's love for her teachers that we see at every drop-off and pick-up is something we will never forget.

CCDC is a welcoming, clean and safe environment to send your child(ren). Although my son’s time spent was short it was a wonderful experience for both him and myself. At the end of each day I was able to know the activities that my child participated in, the meal he had and what time he took his nap, through the Hi Mama app. A big thank you to all the teachers at CCDC. ~ Alicia (2020)
Children's Choice is an amazing place for children to learn, grow and thrive. The staff are warm, kind and empathetic. They treat the children like their second family. There is always so much to do and learn at children's choice. There are field trips as well as lots of hands-on activities that will stimulate your child's mind and allow them to also engage in a meaningful way. The staff put children right at the heart of everything they do. I recommend children's choice as a trusted child care provider!

I have had two of my children attend Children’s Choice and it is hard to describe the comfort and endless trust my husband and I felt while our boys were in their care. The activities planned, the nutritious meals, and the cleanliness and organization of the facility are just a few aspects that always impressed us. Most importantly though, it was the nurturing staff that cared for my children as if they were their own that exceeded my expectations. My sons loved being at Children’s Choice and I truly owe it to the staff for the connections they make with the children. My daughter will be attending this fall :)

The Kindergarten program is an excellent one! The children learn the fundamental skills required to succeed in their next level of development through various mediums such as science experiments, sensory activities, learning circles etc. The kindergarten program, through jolly phonics, helps the children learn letter recognition, sounds, and blending so by the time the children are finished SK they are capable of reading fluently. This is not just play as usual! Teachers incorporate new and exciting learning experiences based on the children's creativity and provide a well rounded learning environment.

We have had our two young children attending Children's Choice Daycare centre for the past two years and have enjoyed the education they have been receiving. We've occasionally brought our school age son here as well during march break and summer break and he loves being here. Although we had the option of sending our so to the full day kindergarten program being offered in the school system last September, we kept him at the daycare because we fell that he was thriving at the centre. Jackie and Kelly have been great with our son and he looks forward to coming to his SK class every day. In addition, they've also been preparing them for school which has prompted excitement in him in anticipation of going to "Big School" as he calls it.

I highly recommend Children's Choice Daycare as a daycare provider for pre-school children. I have two kids, one who did her pre-school at Children's Choice and ones currently in senior kindergarten at Children's Choice. Both loved/love the experience, the environment, the fellow classmates and most of all, the teachers. The teachers are very friendly and accommodating and treat the kids with love and respect. Children's Choice Daycare academic program fully prepared my daughter for grade 1 and beyond. Children's Choice Daycare fosters and encourages a positive learning environment - through academic learning, reading, field trips and special programs like Yoga and Karate. Children's Choice Daycare is very affordable and flexible. As a parent I find it very convenient that the daycare is open early and closes late at 6pm . During the day they offer the kids fresh cooked meals. I highly recommend any parent(s) to enrol their children in Children's Choice Daycare. They will cherish those years for a lifetime.

My son started at Children's Choice at the age of 14 months, and worked his way through the infant and toddler rooms, eventually settling into Pre-K classes. As we approached Kindergarten registration at our home school, we were torn as to where we would enrolling him in September. CCDC offered a fantastic Kindergarten program, with meals cooked in house, amazing hours and teacher to student ratios that can simply not be met in public schools. After attending his home school info night, it was so obvious that the right choice for us was continuing his enrollment at CCDC. On top of cost for before and after school programs, making our own lunches and hours that were not conducive to two parents working full time, we were concerned with the teacher to student ratio of the public system. I couldn't imagine our (then) 3 year old sitting long enough to eat his full lunch, mostly unsupervised and unassisted, and being in a class where there were over 20 students to 1 teacher during most of the day. The staff at Children's Choice had been running their Kindergarten program for 20 years, with amazing success and children graduating into grade 1 excelling in written, verbal and reading skills compared to their counterparts in the public school program. I can say with 100% certainty, we made the right call, and would highly recommend the kinder program to anyone. I love the one on one time my son gets, the healthy, hot meals prepared every day, the flexible hours and teachers who genuinely care about his progress and health. I encourage anyone who is thinking about enrolling to make the leap - you will not regret it. Thank you to the CCDC staff for providing this program - we can't wait to sign our daughter up when it's her turn!

When I was first approached about whether or not my daughter would be staying at Children's Choice Daycare for kindergarten 2 years ago, my initial thought was no; that I would put her into JK at the Public School in our neighbourhood. I was concerned about the costs associated with paying for her to continue going to daycare for JK, when she could go to public school for free. I decided to attend the kindergarten information session at Children's Choice Daycare anyways to see what it was all about. In the meantime, I looked into the costs associated with before and after care programs. I figured out that after paying for before and after school care, plus the cost of extra groceries to pack lunches and snacks every day, it was pretty much the same as I would be paying to keep her at CCDC for kindergarten. I wasn't ready to have my daughter put into a large classroom at the age of 4 with only 2 adults in the classroom (1 teacher, 1 ECE). I decided to keep my daughter at Children's Choice for JK and we would see about SK. When the time came to decide about keeping her at CCDC for SK, I had no hesitation. I wish could stay here longer! For my husband and I it was important that our daughter received more one on one time during these crucial early years of learning. This may not have been possible if we had sent her to JK and SK at public school. We were happy with the fact that keeping her at CCDC gave a better child to teacher ratio. Other reasons that helped us to make our decision were: she was comfortable with all of the staff and the school is a familiar place; she is able to have rest/nap time if needed; she can get assistance with toileting if needed; healthy lunches and snacks are provided, there is no transition from before school care-to classroom-to-afterschool care - she stays in one classroom with the same people all day long; she has made many friends that she loves at CCDC; the teachers and staff at CCDC genuinely love all the children in their care and I feel very confident that my child is in good hands at the centre. Over the past 1.5 years that my daughter has been in the kindergarten program at CCDC she has learned so much. She surprised me every day with the things that she is learning. Keeping her in daycare for kindergarten has not affected her learning/development in any detrimental way. I feel that she is well equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary for grade 1. I encourage you to strongly consider keeping your child in CCDC for the kindergarten program. For our family, it has been one of the best decisions we have made for our daughter's future.

My Son has been attending Children's Choice Daycare since he was 18 months old and when he reached the age to attend Junior Kindergarten it was hard to decide whether to leave him in Children's Choice JK program or have him attend the regular school board. I know now that I made the right choice with keeping him in Children's Choice because of what they offer and what he has accomplished in the JK program. Children's Choice provides a safe learning environment where they work with both your child and parents, developing and ensuring your child is on the right learning path. They incorporate play with learning and teach them the fundamentals they require. My son can count over 100, knows his alphabet and is starting to enjoy reading. They have a book buddy program that my son reminds me half the time that "he has to do his reading". He is excited about school and I think this is so important at such a young age. He is excited to tell me about his day and what he has learned. The teachers at children's choice are preparing children for grade 1 and at most times I think they are preparing them better for the future. The class sizes are smaller then the regular school board so the teachers have more time to spend one on one with your child and better able to identify if there is a need for your child. They are highly educated and I feel safe knowing my child is there. They also spend that extra time when I'm picking up my child to tell me about my child's day or if I have questions they take the time to answer. Not only does Children's Choice offer exceptional teaching they offer so many fun aspects as well. They have stretch and grow, yoga, educational field trips, look and hear screenings, special guest authors and so much more. Children's Choice is just the right choice.

Both of my sons participated in the kindergarten program at Children's Choice Daycare. This excellent program provides smaller class sizes, hands-on learning, warm lunches, convenience for parents with no additional before and after care required and a familiar routine and environment for the kids. We've been a part of the Children's Choice family since 2012 and the quality of care and love that my sons receive from the staff is incredible! It'll be hard to say goodbye once my youngest graduates, but I am confident that he will have a strong foundation when he enters Gr. 1 in the fall.

It was such an easy decision to decide to keep my son at children's choice for his junior kindergarten year for so many reasons! My biggest reason was I just felt he wasn't ready to be taken out of the amazing care he had at CCD! He needed the extra time to become fully independent and it was the best decision I ever made! They taught him more than I could have imagined, and not just academically but mentally and emotionally as well! The first day at public school he was so ready and jumped on the bus like he had done it for years! His transition was so smooth, even my husband was impressed and surprised at how easy it was for him! Thank you so much to everyone at children's choice for their amazing job!

As the mother of a former J.K. and S.K. Graduate I would like to express the shock and disappointments that her father and I felt upon hearing that the program may be cancelled for the upcoming school year. The program is excellent! Not only do the children get to play and explore, but they also learn the fundamentals of reading and writing prior to entering elementary. Since the current curriculum in public/catholic elementary schools focuses mainly on play based learning there is not a strong emphasis on reading and writing. I found this particularly problematic since there is a fair amount of homework sent home in grade 1 and there are spelling tests, every week! Thanks yo Children's Choice our daughter reads at a grade 3 level in grade 1 and has passed all of her spelling tests with perfect scores. The first test had to be repeated by half the class because the kids had no clue how to spell. I truly hope the program at Children's Choice will be able to run the September for our son to also reap the benefits. Otherwise we will have to look for a Montessori which will be pricier since after school care is not included. Also he would have to make all new friends and have all new teachers.

Having been a part of the Children's Choice Daycare program with 2 of my kids from the tender age of 18 months I have come to learn, appreciate and love the owners, educators, cook and the entire staff of this amazing establishment. I do not believe I have had one issue or concern when it comes to the care and education of both of my girls, rather, I was surprised and elated by every experience and detail I have come across. The owner dedicates and unbelievable amount of time, effort and care into facilitating an environment in which the teachers/care-givers, parents and kids can feel comfortable in. The daycare is run EXACTLY following the ministries guidelines and regulation in order to keep the kids in the best and safest environment possible. The teachers and caregivers are the best of the best, for them it is not a job, they truly care and put all their effort into the development, discipline and education of the kids. Being that they spend more time with the kids than their parents, they are emotionally invested into their success. Overall, the cost to keep the kids in the paid Children's Choice Daycare program is almost the same should one choose to go to the public school route, it might seem like it is a no brainer, however it adds up to be almost the same. The benefits in keeping kids in a private, less stressful environment most definitely outweigh the additional costs. The investment one puts into their child at an early age, will have major effect on their development in the long term. I cannot say enough positive things about the staff and management of this unbelievable daycare. It takes really special people to do the amazing job they do every single day, no matter how hard it is, and still keep their positive attitude and smiles on their face.

I am so glad we made the decision to send our son to Children's Choice Daycare. Our son started daycare during covid. The province had a lot of rules and protocols at that point, with social distancing and drop off. Despite all of that, Children's Choice Daycare worked hard at making us feel connected, and I can't explain how much I appreciated that. It was an uneasy time for first time parents and I can't thank Children's Choice enough for making that experience so welcoming. We knew our son was loved, safe and well taken care. We appreciate all the events and activities, such as the holiday party and field trips, that Children's Choice set up. We loved the experiences our son had and will always remember them. Thank you for such an amazing experience and for caring for our child. We will always remember his time with you and all the amazing staff members that were apart of his journey.
